Interior design company located in Fairfield, NJ is currently seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and hands-on Wallcovering Fulfillment Manager. This position is a full time, permanent role. This position is responsible for overseeing all daily operations and warehouse functions, leading and mentoring the workforce, and analyzing & improving processes. This role will utilize tools such as Accellos WMS, Excel, Visio, Word, World Ship and FexEd Ship Manager. Projects include, but are not limited to, re-engineering processes, creating mentoring programs for key roles, managing inventory and supplies both in=house and at vendor facilities, streamline the production and ordering of samples, and determining, monitoring, and sharking key business and performance metrics to staff, as well as the executive team.

This position is on-site at the single facility in Fairfield, NJ, and is stationed on the warehouse floor. Candidate must be willing to open (8:30am) and close (7:30pm) on certain days, as well as manage the opening and closing schedule for the team. In addition, the candidate must be willing to “get their hands dirty” in order to learn all facets of the operation and lead by example.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure orders are shipped and packed accurately
  • Ensure operational success
  • Find root cause and engineer solutions on all issues
  • Continuously check and improve processes to ensure desired metric is achieved and maintained
  • Improve processes to achieve and maintain a world class fulfillment operation
  • Ensure the successful delivery of all domestic and international orders, including hitting committed delivery dates, having all correct paperwork, and using the appropriate carrier and method for delivery
  • Strategize, plan, and oversee ongoing expansion of racking and storage areas
  • Review, monitor, and redefine KPIs that are captured and reviewed
  • Oversee all new employee training and ongoing employee process testing
  • Work with Sampling Manager and Fulfillment Director to maintain a clean, safe warehouse
  • Facilitate weekly department meetings
  • Lead and mentor all Picking, Packing, and Receiving staff
  • Perform reviews and one-on-one meetings with all warehouse employees
  • Screen and interview potential warehouse candidates
  • Schedule and manage shifts to ensure appropriate staffing levels
  • Monitor productivity
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis
  • Work with Fulfillment director to manage logistics budget
  • Manage warehouse resources, shipping supplies and other consumables, including minor facility maintenance

Job qualifications:

  • Upbeat, energetic, can-do attitude
  • 5 years’ experience in a management/leadership role
  • Service-centric mentality
  • International shipping experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
  • Proven track record of motivating team to meet and exceed department performance goals
  • Ability to travel to varying showrooms
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time
  • Willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb and descend stairs safely
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
