A major producer of Industrial Fabrics, supplying manufacturers and distributors in Aerospace, Healthcare, Tent and Structure, Sign and Graphics, and many other industries located in Wyckoff, NJ is looking for an energetic, experienced Purchasing Assistant to join their office team.
The position is full time and set to start immediately.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Communicate with and coordinate between Sales, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, DAF China (Procurement, Inspection, Factory Relations), and International Logistics and Customs Brokers
• Schedule and track international shipments and production samples.
• Work with customs broker on filing importing paperwork
• Correspond with Agent, who oversees production, to coordinate container shipments.
• Arrange and track outgoing domestic freight shipments from DAF, including shipments to customers.
• Track pricing trends, work with brokers to keep pricing competitive.
• Receive new shipments into computer inventory
• Coordinate receipts and shipments from company warehouse and Public Warehouses (3PL)
• Handle specific customer accounts as a Sales Coordinator and cross train for customer coverage.
• Manage inventory for company and customer stock.
• Assist with damage claims and vendor credits.
• Assist other office team when requested
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Well organized
• Computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Excel.
Compensation
• Starting Salary to be determined based on experience (range $45,000-50,000) plus $2K bonus at year-end.

• One sick/personal day earned per quarter until end of one year
• 2-week vacation and 1-week sick/personal after one year of employment
